Thanksgiving at Home

Thanksgiving was more than hectic this year as now that the children are older, we have more activities... this year its the nutcracker performance.  But we were going to host thanksgiving anyway, and ill let you all peak into my home this year.  The Treat Table may have retired, but we still love entertaining!

Horvath Halloween #3

The Horvaths do it again. The Treat table has had the pleasure of doing this party for three years in a row! I love the idea of the table design coinciding with the hosts costumes. This year they were vampires. So i played with the BATS and actually made a cutout of Castle Bran. How awesome is his makeup!

The menu included, pumpkin whoopie pies, red velvet cake shots, caramel latte cake shots, and apple spice praline crunch crake shots. The chocolate macarons continue to be a hit, as well as the white chocolate covered oreos. There were also poisoned jello shots and guava bites. Once again, another awesome party

Ducati Inspired 40th Birthday

When a request for a table is made, my first question is either whats the theme or where the party will be held.  In this case the 40th birthday party was at a bike-garage-by-day-nightclub-by-night place in Wynwood. The menu was simple, and easy since this was a DANCE PARTY!

This was very last minute but I tried to put together a piano theme table for my daughter, who had asked for a piano for her 6th birthday. I got her a nice keyboard, but i put together this little table for her as well. Nothing too outrageous, and everything was store bought.it was fun putting together a black and white theme...
The Treat Table loves LEGOS. This has been a busy week in our home, so I made a simple Lego themed table for my son, who turned 5.  It was a small get together with family and friends, so the menu was kept simple with store bought items.  The cake was done by Melissa at Alfajores de Boca, which was perfect for our Lego theme and delicious.

The Treat Table was asked to do a Mickey and Minnie Mouse Theme dessert display for a brother and sister birthday party. We decided to go with a little vintage feel that still felt very much the Mouse! (Personally, I had been transported back to my own Disney days). After discussing the menu items with our client, she agreed that we should keep the flavors simple and very young child friendly with cookies and milk, (of course they were chocolate ears dipped blonde oreos), Cake pops, rice krispies treats (yum), and fruit skewers, (for something healthy). Her one request was for Tres Leches cake shots... it is Miami after all! We followed it up with Mickey Ears shaped whoopie pies as a party favor.
